Our goal is to promote and develop defenseman of all ages by focusing on fundamentals, character, and the overall pursuit of excellence. At defense factory we take in different defensive styles and enhance them using new age methodology and techniques all while preserving the integrity of the game. Through great leadership and guidance, we at Defense factory focus on the small details that are crucial in developing our athletes into excellent skilled defensemen and students of the game.

Defense Factory will be holding a group training sessions on Mondays’s and Thursday’s throughout the winter in the greater Boston area. Training is open to ALL ages from beginner to advanced level. This session will feature coaching from current MLL players and college standouts James Fahey (Boston Cannons/UMass ’14), Malcolm Chase (Former Boston Cannon/LXM Pro) and Eric Chadderdon (Ohio State/Lemoyne ‘16).

Malcolm Chase is the owner and head trainer at RPM Athlete Performance in Natick, MA. In 2003, he founded Long Stick Middie, producing the first specialized instructional clinics and DVD devoted to the position. Chase presented on the evolution of the LSM at the US Lacrosse Convention in 2004. He is the National Director of programming for RPM Lacrosse and has worked with youth, college and professional athletes across the country. Chase was a member of the 2013 Boston Cannons, and played on the LXMPRO tour in 2012-2013. He played for the Boston Rockhoppers of the North American Lacrosse League in 2011 and 2012. Prior to his professional career, he coached at Roanoke College, Connecticut College, and was voted the Little East Coach Of the Year for Southern Maine, setting numerous school records. Chase currently lives in Boston and is actively involved in the lacrosse community.
James Fahey is a local Massachusetts player who played D1 lacrosse at Umass Amherst after graduating from St. Johns Prep in Danvers, MA in 2010. While at Umass he had a single NCAA tournament appearance in 2012 during a historic undefeated regular season where Umass finished ranked No. 1 in the country for the first time ever in school history. After his senior season, he earned a spot in the North-South senior All-star game. Fahey then proceeds to be a volunteer assistant coach at Umass during his fifth and final year of college. During the summers and fall seasons, Fahey was also a head coach for the Top Gun Fighting Clams Lacrosse Club for two years. In 2016 Fahey walked on the MLL’s Boson Cannons as an LSM and was a great contribution to the team for the majority of the season earning the 11th Man Award. Fahey is also a member of the Senior B Vermont Voyagers indoor team.
Eric Chadderdon is a native of Hamburg, New York and resides in Boston, Massachusetts. He played D1 lacrosse at Ohio State University before transferring to Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. Eric played three seasons while at Le Moyne, two as an undergraduate and one year as a Graduate Student. As a starter Eric helped lead the Dolphins to two National Championship appearances and finished his career as a two-time All – American both academically and athletically. In 2016 he and his team went undefeated (20 games) and won the Division II National Championship. Eric was critical to the success of the top ranked defense nationally in his time at Le Moyne. While in college Eric was a full time coach for the Buffalo Lacrosse Academy Team Buffalo, and spent much of his time traveling to clinics in the summer.
